DAVID E. BANE
Mr. Bane works primarily in the areas of family law, real estate, and wills and estates. Mr. Bane is admitted to practice in all trial courts of the State of Mississippi, the Mississippi Supreme Court, and the United States Districts Courts for the Northern and Southern districts of Mississippi. Mr. Bane is a member of First Baptist Church in Louisville, Mississippi and is married to the former Apryl Hailey who is a speech-language pathologist for the Louisville Separate Municipal School District. Mr. Bane and his wife have a son named Braxton who is a student at the University of Mississippi.
Mr. Bane’s paralegal is Bridgette Gentry Blackwell. Mrs. Blackwell is a life-long resident of Louisville and graduated from Louisville High School in 1993. Mrs. Blackwell continued her education at Mississippi University for Women. Mrs. Blackwell majored in paralegal studies and minored in general business while at Mississippi University for Women and was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in 1997. Mrs. Blackwell has worked for Mr. Bane since July of 1998. Mrs. Blackwell is a member of South Louisville Baptist Church. She is married to James Christopher Blackwell. Mrs. Blackwell has two daughters, Ashley Malone and Mackenzie Blackwell. Ashley is a senior at Mississippi State University and Mackenzie is a K-5 student at Winston Academy.
David E. Bane Jr. is an attorney at law whose office is located at 113 South Court Avenue in Louisville, Mississippi. Mr. Bane graduated from Louisville High School in 1982 and from East Central Community College in 1984.
Mr. Bane majored in banking and finance at Mississippi State University and graduated with a B.B.A. degree in 1987. While at Mississippi State University, Mr. Bane was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and served as their scholarship chairman.
He then attended law school at the University of Mississippi and graduated with a J.D. degree in 1989. While at the University of Mississippi School of Law, he was a member of Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity and a member of the Moot Court Board. Mr. Bane passed the Mississippi bar exam on his first attempt and was admitted to the Mississippi Bar in April of 1990. He worked for the McNeel and Ballard Law Firm in Louisville and the Luckett Law Firm in Clarksdale before opening his own law office on April 1, 1996.
Mr. Bane has twice been selected as the best attorney for the Red Hills area (Winston, Choctaw, and Webster counties). Mr. Bane has an AV rating, the highest possible rating, by Martindale-Hubbell, the oldest and most respected attorney rating service in the world. Mr. Bane was awarded said rating in 2013. Mr. Bane is also a a member of the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys. Only ten attorneys in each state receive this recognition.
